DAY 37
Today was my ma’s joint birthday party, which raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We raised a lot of money, and I sang! Crap party disco songs, but I sang nonetheless.
It was an amazing night, and this dress got so many compliments. I bought it from Asos, but thought it looked too summery, so made a underskirt from 5 layers of net, and paired it with white heels and red lipstick.
Becauseas Gwyneth Paltrow said ‘Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.’
And happily, last night, I think I had both.
DAY 36
After a stressful day, I just want to sit at home, tidy my room, read The Book Thief, and have a shower. Tomorrow is my mum’s joint party for Macmillan Cancer Support, so everything is kind of stressful, as my mum- she’s a worrier.

Made a skirt, got a replacement iPod (R.I.P. Poo), and hung out with my MeeMaw.

Something I know- you can never be unhappy in a pair of dungarees. Or a poncho, as Vince Noir once rightly said. But today, it was dungarees. I bought these at a vintage fair with the lovely Rose, who is in a great band called Talking to Strangers. Go check them out!

DAY 30
Today was so wonderful. I spent it with some of my two oldest, closest best friends. First, I went to my Grandma’s and helped her make some curtains, then I went to hand out some C.Vs, and meet Laura in York. We went to ASK for lunch, and I had the most meaty, scrumptious calzoné pizza. I could have died and gone to food heaven. We ‘ad a mooch’ (as my mum would say) then had some Starbucks coffee and muffins in the beautiful museum gardens.
Later we went to see The Woman in Black at Xscape with our lovely friend Amber, who got so jumpy she bit my thumb. I personally enjoy watching the audience jump, and their reactions. They are real, but the film is not.
DAY 29
Today, gentlemen was a shoppy shoppy day!
Bought two friends’ presents. Job. Well. Done.
